Frequently Asked Questions

Deposits: Why They’re Required and How They Work

A deposit secures your vehicle’s spot on the carrier and confirms your order. It also protects drivers from last-minute cancellations after a route has already been scheduled.

  • Yes, if you cancel before the driver is en route.
  • No, if the driver is already on the way. A $100 cancellation fee applies to cover time and fuel expenses.

We accept Zelle and credit/debit cards.

You’ll receive a phone number linked to our Zelle account. After sending the payment, please share a screenshot to confirm receipt.

The remaining balance can be paid via cash or Zelle upon delivery. If you prefer not to pay the driver directly, let your coordinator know in advance. We can process full payment on your behalf and issue payment to the driver upon delivery.

If you plan to pay by Zelle, please check your account’s daily transfer limit, as some banks cap at $1,000 per day.

Yes — credit and debit card payments can be completed securely through our website. Please note the 3% card processing fee.

Transporting Personal Items

Yes, you may leave up to 100 lbs of personal items in the vehicle. Anything beyond that is subject to an additional fee at the driver’s discretion, based on the total freight weight limits. To avoid delays or added costs, we recommend keeping extra items to a minimum. Drivers are not responsible for loss or theft of personal items in the vehicle.

Vehicle Tracking & Delays

Drivers often wait until their carrier is fully loaded before beginning the trip. This is standard practice and doesn’t indicate a problem.

Delivery windows are estimates and can be affected by factors such as weather, traffic, mechanical issues, or changes in route timing. While delays are not common, they can occur.
We recommend being available 24 hours before and after the estimated pickup or delivery window to allow for any unforeseen changes. Delivery dates are not guaranteed.

Vehicle Damage During Transport

Yes. All carriers are required to carry active cargo insurance, which covers your vehicle while in transit. Personal items inside the vehicle are not covered under this policy.

If your vehicle is damaged during transport, please contact us immediately. While EZ Auto Movers is not the insurance provider and assumes no liability for damages, we will assist you in getting the information needed to file a claim with the carrier’s insurance company.

All claims are handled directly between the vehicle owner, their insurance provider, and the carrier’s insurance. Please be aware that insurance policies may include deductibles, which are the responsibility of the vehicle owner.
