Vehicle Prep Checklist

Preparing your vehicle ahead of time helps ensure a smooth pickup and delivery process. Here’s what to do before your driver arrives:

Before Pickup

1. Wash Your Car
A clean exterior makes it easier to inspect for existing damage at pickup.

2. Remove All Personal Items
You may leave up to 100 lbs of personal belongings in the trunk or below window level. Anything beyond that may incur a fee.

3. Disable Toll Tags & Parking Passes
Toll devices can rack up charges while in transit. Remove or deactivate them before transport.

4. Check for Leaks or Mechanical Issues
Let us know in advance if your vehicle is inoperable or has any known mechanical problems.

5. Maintain a Quarter Tank of Gas
Your car only needs enough fuel to drive on and off the carrier. A quarter tank is ideal.

6. Secure or Remove Loose Parts
Remove or secure bike racks, spoilers, antennas, and other exterior accessories.

7. Alarm Systems
Turn off or disable any car alarms to avoid disruptions during transport.

8. Provide Accurate Contact Info
Make sure we have the best phone number and backup contact for both pickup and delivery.

What the Driver Will Do at Pickup

1. Inspect the vehicle and note any existing damage

2. Have you or your contact sign a Bill of Lading (inspection report)

3. Load the vehicle onto the transport carrier

Optional Tips

  • Take photos of your vehicle before pickup for peace of mind
  • Leave a spare key with the driver (do not give the only copy)
  • Don’t forget to check your glove box and center console
